Falcons unveil new number for former Alabama DB DeMarcco Hellams

A second former Alabama player has their new number unveiled for an NFL team.

DeMarcco Hellams, a Crimson Tide alum, got selected in the seventh round by the Atlanta Falcons.

He led the Tide for total tackles (108) in 2022 and had three tackles for loss, a sack, seven pass breakups, a quarterback hurry, a forced fumble, and an interception. Hellams finished his career with four interceptions, including three in 2021.

He helped Alabama to a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2020 and two Southeastern Conference Championships in 2020 and 2021. Hellams will wear No. 37 for the Falcons.

He looks to become an impactful player for Atlanta.
