The XFL Media Relations sent out a list of players that have received NFL minicamp invites.

One of the league’s most dominant performances was not on the list. AJ McCarron missed one game as the starting quarterback for the St. Louis Battlehawks, but he led the team to a 7-3 record. He tossed for 2,150 passing yards and 24 touchdowns, setting the league’s single-season record for passing touchdowns. McCarron took the record from Tommy Maddox who had 18 in 2001.

He showed he has the talent, decision-making, passing skills, and leadership to excel in the National Football League.

Hakeem Butler and Darrius Shepherd were McCarron’s wide receivers for the Battlehawks. He set both guys up to have success as they have been invited to an NFL minicamp. Hopefully, McCarron gets another opportunity at the NFL.
