Alabama transfer safety Jaylen Key unveils his number for the fall

One of Alabama’s two new defensive members from the transfer portal has his number for the fall.

Jaylen Key, a former standout at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, transferred to the Crimson Tide in the spring as a safety. He brings over much experience from the Blazers and will compete for a starting opportunity. Key has been bonding with his new teammates this offseason and took part in the team’s photo shoot. Najee Harris, a former Tide running back, wore that number throughout his collegiate career.

Harris, a California native, helped Alabama to national championships in 2017 and 2020. He is the Crimson Tide’s all-time leader in school history for rushing yards and touchdowns. Key looks to make Alabama’s secondary elite for the upcoming season.
