Alabama has five running backs on its roster, but one is looking to send a message in the fall.
Jase McClellan, a former four-star in the 2020 class, is itching to show college football that he is among the best backs in the nation. The native Texan showed a lot of physicality last season, and the offensive line was excited to block for him.

He totaled nearly six yards per attempt (5.9), collecting 655 yards and seven touchdowns on 111 carries. McClellan shared the team lead with Jahmyr Gibbs for rushing scores. He also brought versatility out of the backfield in the passing game with three touchdown receptions. People are excited about Justice Haynes, Richard Young, and Jam Miller, but McClellan is set to remind us not to forget about him. The 5-foot-11, 212-pounder posted a message on Instagram that everyone should take notice to.

Nick Saban has a lot of respect for what McClellan brings to the running back position.
Brad Lester, a former Auburn running back, at The Speed Genius Facility in Atlanta, Ga. Lester predicts McClellan will rush for 1,700 yards.
His 2021 season got cut short because of an injury, but McClellan enters his senior campaign healthy for a second year.
It is about to become exciting when the Crimson Tide goes to preseason camp.
