The running back position has been under appreciated, undervalued, and underpaid in the National Football League.

Elite names such as Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacobs cannot get their organizations to agree to new contracts for them with guaranteed money.
The game has shifted to quarterbacks and wide receivers, but running backs feel like they still hold great value to teams. According to NFL Draft expert Matt Miller, he feels that teams should draft a running back, play him, and if he is good, franchise tag him once. Afterwards, Miller feels a team should draft another running back.

Derrick Henry, one of the best backs in the league, did not take kindly to this observation. The two-time rushing champion took a strong stance for his fellow backs on social media. He is with every running back that’s fighting to get what they deserve, in terms of contracts and guaranteed money.
Teams in the NFL still need something that resembles a rushing attack to win a Super Bowl.
Henry and others want to remind the league of that.
