His peers voted him just outside the top 10 at No. 12. He betted on himself in 2022 and became victorious after the Las Vegas Raiders declined to pick up the fifth-year option on his rookie contract. Jacobs won the inaugural Jim Brown Award, following a season where he led the National Football League in rushing with 1,653 yards on 340 attempts. He scored 12 touchdowns and caught 53 passes for 400 yards. The 5-foot-10, 223-pounder made his second Pro Bowl and earned first-team All-Pro honors for his performance in his fourth NFL season. He’s totaled 1,000+ yards from scrimmage in all four years, including three 1,000+ yard rushing campaigns. Jacobs does not want to play on a franchise tag for the Raiders, and the organization understands it.

New: My understanding is, the #Raiders are open to restarting talks with RB Josh Jacobs, with the hopes of getting him to rejoin the team, which still remains the goal for the organization.

The hopes for Las Vegas is getting him to rejoin the team. Jacobs, a 2017 College Football Playoff National Champion for the Crimson Tide, is the engine for the Raiders’ offense. He got selected at No. 24 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft.
