Will Reichard dives into decision to return to Alabama for fifth year

Will Reichard decided to return to Alabama for a fifth year despite already being the Crimson Tide’s all-time leader in points with 426.

The Hoover native dove into his decision to return while talking to the media on Thursday.

“As I look back on my career, I’m very excited about what as a team we’ve been able to accomplish, and I just felt like I had more room to improve before moving on to the next level,” Reichard said. “Honestly, I didn’t want to leave this place. I’ve been super blessed to meet a lot of people here and build relationships that I’ve been able to build. There’s a lot of people across the country that would love to play here, and there’s just something I wanted to be able to come back and finish my career here.”

Reichard has been called upon in big moments for Alabama in the past, including last year when he made the game-winning field goal against Texas on the road.

The Tide will look to lean on the veteran’s consistency this season.
