Alabama football’s freshman defensive back, Caleb Downs has earned the respect of the Crimson Tide’s star outside linebacker, Dallas Turner.
Downs is a former five-star out of Mill Creek High School in Georgia. He is one of Alabama’s freshmen, who enrolled as an early enrollee in January. Turner feels the former five-star is a dependable young player.
“Caleb Downs is a straight dog,” Turner said: “He came in here, and he snapped. He trying to establish how he plays on the field. He’s quiet off the field. He is more of a listener than a talker. He is a dog. If you tell him to do something, he is going to do it. He’s going to give it to the fullest on every snap. It is the expectation, but he always delivers.”
Alabama typically gives out a depth chart on the Monday before the first game of the season. Many expect Downs to be listed in the Tide’s secondary rotation.
