Bryce Young has his first of many touchdown passes as an NFL quarterback.
In Friday’s preseason matchup against the Detroit Lions, the No. 1 overall pick found Panthers’ wide receiver Adam Thielen for a touchdown in the first quarter. Young had a clean pocket and found Thielen for the score on third down, giving Carolina a 10-0 advantage. He made several good plays, including a nice run for a first down. Frank Reich, the Panthers’ head coach, wanted to see Young record a touchdown in the preseason. His connection with Thielen gives him confidence for the regular season.
