Jalen Milroe forced Nick Saban to play him against Middle Tennesee State, and it may have ended Alabama’s quarterback battle.
He put on a show for fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium, accounting for five touchdowns.

Milroe tied for fourth all-time in Crimson Tide history for total scores in a game. The native Texan also made history, becoming the first Tide signal-caller to have three touchdown passes and two rushing scores in a game. His three scoring tosses went to Isaiah Bond, Jermaine Burton, and Amari Niblack. Milroe wanted to prove he could handle the moment, and he did.
