He still has a couple of areas to develop more in, but the Tide believes it can win a Southeastern Conference Championship and possibly a College Football Playoff National Championship with him leading the way. The sophomore had his best outing of the season versus Louisiana State University, becoming the first quarterback in Alabama history to post four rushing touchdowns in a game. He carried the Tide to a 42-28 victory over the Tigers. Milroe earned several individual awards for his performance and chatter is starting to happen for him in the Heisman Trophy conversation. The native Texan is focused on one game at a time; however, he’s become one of the best quarterbacks in college football. According to Pro Football Focus, Milroe grades out as one of the top 10 signal-callers this season. He has 22 total touchdowns to five interceptions, including 13 touchdown passes.
Milroe comes in ranked at No. 8 with a 90 quarterback grade.
