Alabama fans watched its offensive line make a team quit Saturday at Kroger Field.

Eric Wolford and the Crimson Tide’s offensive front dominated Kentucky. Several players on the line stated in the offseason how Alabama was going to be physical and elite. It took a while, but those words came to fruition in the tenth game of the season.

The Tide handled Kentucky’s defensive line as Jalen Milroe was not sacked.

Alabama’s front had been ranked toward the bottom nationally in sacks allowed, but it has made strides with protecting Milroe.

He was pressured three times, but Milroe generated three touchdown passes and three touchdown runs in a 49-21 victory for Alabama. The offensive line helped the Tide create balance as it had 234 yards passing and 159 yards rushing. Alabama was efficient on third down for a second straight week, converting seven of 11 attempts. Kadyn Proctor and JC Latham did their jobs as offensive tackles, while Jaeden Roberts has impressed at left guard. Jam Miller, a sophomore, posted a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. Jase McClellan led all running backs for Alabama with 43 yards rushing, and Justice Haynes had 33 yards.

The physicality was there for the Tide all game long, and it paid dividends.

Everything is now clicking for this team, and the offensive line was the final piece. Wolford’s group turns its attention to Chattanooga next week at Bryant-Denny Stadium and the Iron Bowl versus Auburn.
