Alabama football is down several players for Saturday’s game versus Kentucky, and another injury has happened.
According to Mike Rodak of Bama 247, defensive lineman Damon Payne got hurt in pregame warmups. He grabbed his left knee and walked slowly off the field. He talked with the medical staff and then jogged with teammates into the locker room.

Alabama won’t have Deontae Lawson (ankle), Jaylen Key (quad), Ja’Corey Brooks (shoulder), and Jermaine Burton (illness) for its matchup with the Wildcats. If it does not have Payne, the Crimson Tide would be down three defensive players.
Hopefully, it is only a minor stinger and Payne can shake it off.
