The University of Alabama knew the potential of its five-star offensive lineman, but he needed a little time.
Kadyn Proctor, a true freshman, is playing his best football right now.

The 6-foot-7, 360-pounder turned in an outstanding performance last week against Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
He did not allow a sack or a hit to Jalen Milroe, protecting him to record 259 passing yards, 107 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. Proctor, an Iowa native, gave Milroe time to locate sophomore receiver Isaiah Bond in the back of the end zone for a 31-yard, game-winning touchdown with 32 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. He helped the Crimson Tide control the line of scrimmage to the tune of 451 total yards, including 192 yards rushing. Proctor cleared the way for Milroe to have 107 yards and Jase McClellan to total 66 yards rushing in a 27-24 victory. He endured struggles earlier in the season, but he’s found a groove.
Proctor was rewarded with Co-Freshman of the Week honors from the Southeastern Conference.
