The Philadelphia Eagles have been in a rough patch as of late after it dropped its third game in a row on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks.

The loss particularly stung as Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock led a game-winning drive against the defending NFC Champions connecting with wide receiver Jaxson Smith-Njigba for a 29-yard touchdown with 28 seconds remaining. And after Jalen Hurts was picked off for the second time by Julian Love, the Eagles officially lost its third straight.

After the game, a disappointed Hurts called out his team saying he wasn’t sure if it has been committed enough this season.

“I’ve been talking about execution all year, being on the same page, everyone being on the same page,” Hurts said according to NFL.com. “We didn’t execute. I don’t think we’re, we’re all, we’re committed enough. Just got to turn it around. You know, it’s a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it through.”

Hurts would also take ownership on his play, later stating that the path to the team’s improvement starts with him.

“Everyone has their role in it,” Hurts said. “It starts with me. “We’ve got to pick ourselves out of this … We have to make an internal change in how we attack things. How we come to work every day. It starts with the little things, how committed we are to doing what we’re doing. And it all starts with me, the quarterback. It’s a challenge I’m embracing. As challenging as these times are, I still see light at the end of the tunnel.

“Just a matter of believing.”
