The Philadelphia Eagles may not have a marquee wide receiver for next week’s matchup against the New York Giants.
DeVonta Smith, a former Alabama wide receiver, suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Smith was seen leaving the game in a walking boot. He has a mild ankle sprain, but Smith is expected to have more tests done. It is not considered to be a major injury, but the Eagles will keep an eye on it.

Smith is one of three former Crimson Tide receivers to have 1,000 yards this season.
He has 81 receptions for 1,066 yards and seven touchdowns. Philadelphia is 11-5 with an opportunity to win the NFC East.
