Alabama football’s first spring practice session under Kaleb DeBoer is approaching.
The staff at Touchdown Alabama Magazine will spotlight 30 players to watch this spring with spring practice starting next week.
Up first is true freshman cornerback, Zabien Brown.

Summary
Brown is a former five-star defensive back out of Mater Dri High School.
He is the first freshman to be mentioned based on the opportunities at cornerback for the Crimson Tide this spring and his potential to make an early impact in Tuscaloosa. The California product is an inch or two shorter than the long defensive back prospect most college coaches go after, but he more than makes up for it with some of the best technique in coverage among prospects in the 2024 recruiting class.
Brown displayed great coverage skills at the high school football level with his ability to stay square in coverage and break on the football with impressive speed. Another strength of his was his ability to make tackles in space. He consistently got lower than the ball carrier, which should pay off at the next level for him when he is called upon to tackle bigger college football backs and receivers in the open field.
