Alabama LB target sets commitment date, schedules visit

Luke Metz plans to announce a commitment decision on Sunday, March 24.

Metz is a 2025 linebacker out of Mills Creek High School in Georgia. He garners a three-star rating from multiple recruiting sites at the moment, but he is on pace to be a consensus four-star in the future. Alabama is one of the schools Metz is heavily considering ahead of his decision along with Michigan, Ole Miss and others.

The Crimson Tide will get Metz on campus Thursday for the first time since their defensive coordinator Kane Wommack offered him.

“Coach Wommack reached out and called me,” Metz told Touchdown Alabama after receiving an offer for the Tide. “I was super fired up. Alabama has always been a dream school.”

The Georgia product is a 6-foot-3 linebacker, who is effective at reading and attacking as he sifts through traffic and meets ball carriers in the hole. The 2025 prospect appears to play with his hair on fire. Metz feels his athleticism and his physicality are just a few of the strong points of his game.
