Terrion Arnold is back reunited with his former Alabama teammate, Brian Branch, in the NFC North.

The former Alabama standout at cornerback is headed to the NFC North as the Detroit Lions selected him Thursday night at No. 24 overall in the NFL Draft.

Arnold, an alumnus of John Paul Catholic High School in Tallahassee, Fla., came to the Crimson Tide as a five-star athlete in the 2021 recruiting class. He was brought in to be aa safety, but Alabama developed him into one of the best coverage cornerbacks last season. Arnold led the defense last year for pass breakups (12) and interceptions (five), pushing the Tide to Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff berth. The 5-foot-11, 189-pounder is aggressive closing on plays to break up passes, create turnovers, or drop marquee hits on offensive players.

Detroit is filled with marquee athletes on defense, but Arnold adds more physicality to it.
