The 2025 NFL Draft will have several talented quarterbacks vying for the No. 1 pick selected at the position.

Shedeur Sanders, Colorado’s starting quarterback, has been viewed potentially as the top prospect for the draft.

Jalen Milroe, Alabama’s starting quarterback, sent a statement to pro scouts last week. In a top-five matchup in college football, Milroe put on a show in front of 23 NFL teams on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium versus Georgia. The Bulldogs have one of the best defenses in the nation; however, the native Texan carved it up. Milroe had the best performance of his career in the short to intermediate passing game, vertical passing game, running the football, and showing complete command of Alabama’s offense.

He went toe-to-toe with Carson Beck and totaled 374 passing yards (career-high), 117 rushing yards, and four touchdowns.

Milroe responded to Beck giving Georgia a 34-33 lead in the fourth quarter in an incredible way. He connected with freshman receiver Ryan Williams on a 75-yard touchdown to take the lead back. Crimson Tide fans erupted inside BDS because they saw their quarterback make a huge play in the passing attack to win the game. Milroe’s growth as a complete quarterback has gotten Mel Kiper’s attention. Kiper, an ESPN NFL Draft analyst, said Milroe is ‘vying for the No. 1 pick’ for the draft as a quarterback.

“Jalen Milroe is regarded as QB1 right now,” Kiper said on ESPN’s Get Up.

Kiper has Milroe, Sanders, Cam Ward (Miami), Beck (Georgia), and Quinn Ewers (Texas) among his top quarterbacks.

Milroe has 964 passing yards, 273 rushing yards, 18 touchdowns, and one interception.

He stands with 4,136 career passing yards, 1,126 rushing yards, and 60 total touchdowns across four years. Milroe increased his Heisman odds after the win over Georgia, but now he’s elevated as possibly the No. 1 selection for next year’s draft.
