Nick Saban details hilarious reason for picking Penn State over Ohio State

Nick Saban created a memorable moment on ESPN’s College GameDay before a marquee Big Ten matchup.

A rivalry game between Penn State and Ohio State is happening at Beaver Stadium better known as “Happy Valley.”

Nick Saban sends biggest message to Alabama for matchup against Tennessee

James Franklin and Ryan Day both need this matchup, but Saban detailed a hilarious reason why he picked the Nittany Lions over the Buckeyes. The former Alabama head coach said Ohio State has two former Alabama players that did not get him a birthday present. Saban, who celebrated his 73rd birthday on Halloween, said Penn State got him a present for his birthday.

The two players Saban referred two were Caleb Downs and Seth McLaughlin. Downs was a former safety for the Tide, while McLaughlin played center under Saban. The seven-time national champion took Penn State because of a birthday gift.
