Alabama A&M announced Sam Shade as its next head football coach on Sunday.
Shade joins the Bulldogs in the SWAC after leading Miles College to a 10-3 record and capturing the SIAC title as their head coach in 2024. He won a national championship as a defensive back at Alabama in 1992 before spending eight seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins.
The former Alabama player will look to leave his mark on another HBCU program.
