Bear McWhorter has confirmed his intentions to announce a commitment decision on Feb. 28.

McWhorter will choose between Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Michigan and South Carolina. He is a 2026 four-star offensive lineman prospect out of Cass High School in Georgia.
The junior recently shared with Touchdown Alabama which factors he will weigh when he making his decision.
“A lot of different things, relationships is a big one, just who I’m hearing from, who I can see myself playing for,” McWhorter said when asked what factors he will weigh when making his decision. “Then just sitting down and praying about it, thinking about it, like, where do I see myself fitting in? Because I feel like I’ve seen everything I need to see on visits.”
Alabama has hosted the four-star recruit several times over the last several months and feels his relationship with them is ‘strong.’
At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, McWhorter is an agile offensive lineman, who shines at the guard position with his ability to work to the second level and be physical in the trenches in the run game.
