Alabama added its second commitment for the 2026 recruiting class Thursday with a pledge from offensive lineman, Chris Booker.

The Georgia product committed to Alabama over Mississippi State, Kentucky and others.  Booker caught up with Touchdown Alabama to discuss what led to his decision, his relationship with the coaching staff and elaborated on the type of player that Alabama is getting in himself.

“I always knew Alabama was the one,” Booker told Touchdown Alabama. “I just had to commit.”

The Georgia native fielded an offer from Alabama on Feb. 1 after attending Junior Day. Since then, he remained in close contact with the Alabama coaching staff, specifically offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic.

“We have been talking for a while, Coach Kap and a lot of the other members of the coaching staff and they make me feel at home, they make me feel like it’s a place for me at Alabama and I’m willing to work for it.”

At 6-foot-4 and 280 pounds, Booker projects to be an interior offensive lineman at the college level. He discussed the type of player he is and some of the characteristics that best personify him.

“I’m a physical, nasty player that can do it all,” Booker added, “I’m athletic and football smart.”

With other power-four schools offering and other programs showing interest, Booker detailed his interest in Alabama and what stood out the most about the Crimson Tide.

“Alabama isn’t just a name,” Booker said, “Alabama is a standard, a brotherhood that I would love to be a part of.”

Booker joins four-star cornerback Zyan Gibson as the only two pledges in Alabama’s 2026 recruiting class. He is a huge addition for the Crimson Tide and has confirmed his recruitment is shut down via X.
