Alabama 5-Star commit feels at home during A-Day visit

Jorden Edmonds made a return to Alabama Saturday to check out the Crimson Tide’s A-Day practice.

Edmonds is a 2026 five-star defensive back, who is currently verbally committed to the Tide.

The Georgia product chose Alabama over Tennessee, Georgia and others last month after visiting earlier in the spring. He got back to Tuscaloosa Saturday and got further confirmation he made the right choice.

“It was great,” Edmonds told Touchdown Alabama. “I loved being around the players and staff. It feels like home.”

Alabama football is a program Edmonds has monitored for years, per his father.

“It has been a school he has always kept an eye on even when he was younger when he was leaning more towards basketball,” Chris Edmonds previously said. “I think with his mindset and with the coaching staff, I think they’re more willing to help develop players. I think that’s the old-school mentality, and Jorden coming in as a freshman, I think they’ll be willing to develop more than just throw products out there based on stars and develop players to be elite college players or to go to the NFL. I think they have always have had that.”

The 6-foot-3, 180-pounder is a long and athletic defensive back. He is projected to play cornerback at the next level as he shines there for Sprayberry with his length. He also possesses impressive ball skills, which he displays on both sides of the football. Those ball skills combined with his length make him the perfect cornerback prospect in today’s age of college football.
