The Colorado Buffs were able to get Cederian Morgan on campus for an official visit over the weekend, and the visit exceeded expectations.
Morgan is a 2026 five-star wide receiver out of Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, Alabama. The Buffs are currently one of his top schools ahead of his July 2nd commitment date.
Being in the state of Colorado created a great experience for the five-star.
“It was a great experience for me coming from the South,” Morgan said. “I’ve seen a lot of stuff I haven’t seen before.”
Colorado’s wide receiver coach Jason Phillips and the Buffs’ Assistant Director of Player Personnel Joc Upton are heavily involved in the program’s push for Morgan. They made the Alabama native and his family feel at home during their time in Boulder.
“One of the things is that, like you go places as a recruit, you mess with a couple of coaches,” said Morgan. “I went to Colorado, and I mess with the whole coaching staff, like every single person on the coaching staff. They match my vibe. They were with my family, and they showed my family love, showed my mom, my grandmother love for Mother’s Day. And then another thing is I just like what they are building over there. If you want to get to the league, I feel like Colorado is a great place. The stuff that they do with their media, and how much attention they get, gives you a reason to succeed. With the head coach being Deion, that just makes everything 10 times better.”
Julian Lewis is the future of the Colorado program at quarterback. He and Morgan have been consistently talking.
“Me and juju, we have been talking way before the official visit,” Morgan told Touchdown Alabama. “I feel like if I went to Colorado, I have a quarterback that I know I can trust, and I can trust to give me the ball however I need it.”
Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida and Georgia are next up on Morgan’s official visit schedule.
