After three weeks, Alabama football is 2-1 with nine games left to play, and according to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI), the Crimson Tide’s remaining strength of schedule is ranked sixth in the nation.
Seven of the Tide’s nine remaining opponents are currently ranked in the top 25 of the AP Poll.
Alabama will host No. 20 Vanderbilt, No. 15 Tennessee, No.3 LSU and No. 11 Oklahoma in Tuscaloosa, and the Crimson Tide will travel to No. 5 Georgia, No. 23 Missouri and No. 22 Auburn.
A home game vs. unranked Eastern Illinois and an away game at recently unranked South Carolina are also on the menu.
The FPI updated this morning, and it has Alabama slotted at third in the Power Index with a 50.2% chance to make the playoffs.
The AP poll ranked the Crimson Tide No. 14 in the country after a dominate victory over Wisconsin and a few recent losses from previously ranked programs like Clemson, Florida and South Carolina.
