South Florida is showing strong interest in Saraland 2026 wide receiver and Duke commit DeShawn Spencer.

The Bulls have been in contact with Spencer, and their contact has been fluid.

“We been hitting it off pretty good,” Spencer said. “We talked about setting up an official visit, and I got one set for the week we play Murphy (Oct. 16). I am excited to be back down, and it’s their homecoming game that week. It’ll be good for sure.”

At 6-foot-plus and one of the most polished pass-catchers in Alabama’s 2026 class, Spencer has been a key playmaker for the high-powered Saraland Spartans. His speed and reliable hands have made him a priority target for programs across the Southeast.

South Florida already holds two in-state commitments at wide receiver in Moody’s Josiah Dozier and Mary G. Montgomery’s DJ Broughton, a Mobile native, but the Bulls clearly aren’t done recruiting Alabama’s rich talent pool.
