Notre Dame being ahead of Alabama in the latest College Football Playoff rankings is causing quite the stir on social media.
The Fighting Irish are ranked ahead of Alabama in the latest rankings at No. 9. The Crimson Tide came in at No. 10.
Here is what the college football world is saying about the decision:
Alabama dropping to ten is wild. Tide has wins over 4 Georgia, 20 Tennessee, 14 Vandy and 22 Missouri. Yes the loss to FSU isn’t great, but thats two wins better than Notre Dame’s only CFP Top 25 win (15 USC) and the same 8-2 record.

Wrote this about Alabama vs. Notre Dame on Sunday. Had a feeling the committee would focus on the FSU loss all of the sudden. pic.twitter.com/ZL3Q40XGsn

8-2 Notre Dame at No. 9 over 8-2 Alabama at No. 10 is a joke.
Wins over the playoff top 25:
Alabama 4
ND 1Alabama has 2 better wins (at No. 4 Georgia and No. 14 Vandy) than Notre Dame’s best win (No. 15 USC).

Notre Dame being ahead of Alabama is such a crock of shit

Given Alabama’s 6-spot drop after a 2 point loss over now #8, and placement behind 2-loss Notre Dame, it’s hard to see any value in the SEC moving to a 9th conference game.
With 8, their schedules are already harder. And clearly loss mitigation and recency are most rewarded
