Former Georgia defender says Indiana is ‘more physical’ than Alabama

Former Georgia defensive lineman and college football analyst, David Pollack feels Indiana is more physical than Alabama.

The Hoosiers are undefeated and are getting prepared to take on the Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl. Indiana is the betting favorite ahead of the matchup, and Pollack feels it will have an edge over the Tide when it comes to physicality.

“Ty Simpson, what is he better against?” Pollack asked.  “He’s pretty good against zone. He’s pretty good on those in-breaking routes. Can they give him some time? Can they protect and not let those free rushers come? It’s just crazy to think about that we’re literally picking this game and I’m going, clearly, the better, more rounded, well-rounded, more physical team is Indiana. That’s a weird world, man. Weird world. I think this is the end of the line for the Tide, even though I like the fact that they won. I like the fact that they got down 17. That shows you something about the heart of this team.”

Alabama and the Hoosiers will go at it in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.
