For the second time this season, Trevon Diggs in on the open market.

It was announced on Tuesday that the Green Bay Packers would be waiving the former Crimson Tide defensive back after just two games with the franchise. Diggs was previously claimed by Green Bay after he was released by the Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 31.

Diggs started the final game of the regular season against the Minnesota Vikings where he recorded two total tackles while playing 34 snaps. However he would not play a major factor in the team’s loss to the Chicago Bears in the wildcard round of the playoffs.

Diggs signed a five-year $97 million contract in 2023 with Dallas but the two ultimately decided to part ways after an up and down 2025 campaign. His best season came in 2021 where he led the NFL with 11 interceptions.

In his career, Diggs has recorded a total of 20 interceptions and according to ESPN could be poised to rejoin Green Bay on a restructured deal.
