Mobile DL says Alabama displayed it ‘has everything’ he is looking for on Junior Day

Avrian Pauley Jr. walked away highly impressed after spending time in Tuscaloosa during Alabama football’s Junior Day. Pauley said the experience exceeded expectations on multiple levels.

“It was amazing,” Pauley told Touchdown Alabama.

The junior attends McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, Alabama. He is getting recruited hard to be a defensive lineman by several schools, including Alabama, Florida and Ole Miss.

Alabama’s defensive line coach Freddie Roach is leading Alabama’s push for Pauley. One of the biggest takeaways from visiting the Tide Saturday for Pauley was the opportunity to connect with Alabama’s coaching staff.

“I got to further develop a great relationship with coach Roach, and they treated me like family,” Pauley said.

Beyond the personal connections, Pauley was impressed with the environment surrounding the program. From facilities to player development, Alabama checked every box he looks for in a potential college destination.

“Alabama as a program has everything that I am looking for; great facilities, coaches that care and amazing trainers,” Pauley said. “They have put themselves high on my board.”

With Junior Day now behind him, Alabama has clearly positioned itself as a major contender in Pauley’s recruitment.

At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Pauley has the potential to play multiple positions along the defensive front at the next level with his versatility.
