St. Frances 6-foot-5 tight end tells why Alabama will get an official visit from him

St. Frances Academy’s junior tight end and Alabama football 2027 target Michael Nnabuife has an official visit locked in with the Crimson Tide and plans to unofficially visit Alabama in the spring.

Nnabuife plans to officially visit Alabama on the weekend of June 5. He also plans to officially visit Syracuse. Fran Browns’ staff is expected to get him on campus a week before Alabama.

Alabama’s coaching staff has remained in constant contact with Nnabuife.

“I hear from them all the time,” Nnabuife said. ” We talk pretty regularly. They are making sure I get there and letting me know this is the program they feel I should be, where I can maximize my potential and especially with my former teammate Jireh (Edwards) going there, I get a lot of the inside scoop, but the coaching staff is great.”

The 2027 prospect respects the history of Alabama football and the standard the program attempts to hold itself to. He is also confident in Alabama’s coaching staff and their ability to develop players.

“Everybody knows Alabama is one of the best programs in college history,” Nnabuife told Touchdown Alabama. “The standard in what they do, not just the players, but the coaching staff, I know it could really prepare me for not only college, but for the pros as well.”

Alabama hosted Nnabuife for an unofficial visit during the 2025 season when the Tide took on Oklahoma. Alabama’s senior starting tight end Josh Cuevas had his best game of the season against the Sooners when he pulled in six receptions for 80 yards and one touchdown in a losing effort.

The way Alabama used Cuevas and Kaleb Edwards stood out to Nnabuife during his visit.

“In both the pass and the run, they are very big factors in both of those,” Nnabuife said. “They actually have a pretty good system for their tight ends. I like how they use them.”

Nnabuife would like to be committed before the summer starts or in the early part of the summer. He plans to return to Tuscaloosa in the spring, but no date has been confirmed for the visit.

At 6-foot-5 and 242 pounds, the Alabama target takes pride in being a nasty and effective blocker, as well as a receiving threat.

“I always want a dog person in front of me,” Nnabuife said. “So, wherever I choose, they know they’re getting a guy who they can rely on heavily in the run game and then I’m also a really good route runner. I would say I can create space pretty easily for myself.”
