Stevan Thornton announced a verbal commitment to Alabama football. He picked the Crimson Tide over Ole Miss, Georgia, Tennessee and others.
Thornton attends Cairo High School in Cairo, Georgia. He becomes the Crimson Tide’s fifth commit in the 2027 class, and its second defensive lineman pledge, joining Avrian Pauley.
The 6-foot-5, 207 pounder finished the 2025 season with 91 total tackles, 20 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He did this by using an explosive get off and impressive closing speed in space.
