Kane Wommack, other Alabama assistants approved for new contracts

Kalen DeBoer received a contract extension ahead of his third season for the University of Alabama, and now his staff has been locked in to new deals.

The Board of Trustees compensation committee met Wednesday to approve new contracts for Kane Wommack, Bryan Ellis, Richard Owens, Adrian Klemm, Derrick Nix, Chuck Morrell, Christian Robinson, Maurice Linguist, Jay Nunez, Jason Jones, David Ballou, and Jeff Allen. 

Three assistants – Ryan Grubb, Freddie Roach, and Robert Gillespie – did not receive new contracts as their deals expire on February 28, 2027.

Derrick Nix: Wide Receivers Coach, Contract goes through February 2028

Adrian Klemm: Offensive Line Coach, Contract goes through February 2027

-Chris Kapilovic, former Alabama OL coach, was fired with $925,000 remaining on his deal.
