The Louisiana product played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft and rushed for more than 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons with the organization.
Unfortunately for Lacey, He struggled with his weight towards the end of his career. In the last year of his career with the Seattle Seahawks, he had a weight-loss incentive in his contract.
Since stepping out of the light, Lacey has shifted his focus to a healthier lifestyle.
“This is a little uncomfortable for me to share, especially since it’s been a while since I last posted,” Lacey posted to X. “A while back I did a 4-day fast. I wasn’t even sure I could do it—but I did, and I felt amazing. I didn’t want to lose that momentum, so recently I started a simple protocol to keep things going… and it’s already been a game changer. Snacking and overeating have always been a struggle for me, and I know I’m not the only one. Even in just a couple of weeks, my cravings feel way more under control, and it’s been so much easier not to overeat.”
Lacey wants to share his health journey with his social media followers.
“I still have a long way to go, but I want to start sharing more of the journey and what I’m learning—partly to keep myself accountable, and hopefully to help others too… because let’s be real, a lot of people are struggling with their health right now,” Lacy posted.
