Gadsden City sophomore QB reacts to Alabama offer: “I think Alabama’s just the place to be”

Sam Sollie is seeing his recruitment grow at a very rapid pace.

Sollie attends Gadsden City High School and is a member of the 2028 recruiting class. He holds recent offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky and others.

The Crimson Tide extended an offer to Sollie earlier this week, and the moment was a special one for the rising prospect.

“It felt great,” Sollie said “It’s just a blessing, just overall. I’m just so grateful for the opportunity.”

Alabama has hosted the quarterback in the past, and he has managed to build a relationship with the Tide’s coaching staff.

“I think Alabama’s just the place to be,” Sollie told Touchdown Alabama. “I think they produce great quarterbacks and a lot of quarterbacks that I know. I can’t remember the last one that didn’t go to the NFL draft. They produce great quarterbacks. I love coach (Bryan) Ellis, coach (Kalen) DeBoer.”

At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Sollie displays impressive touch on the football when he is pushing the ball down the field. He also shows the ability to make a variety of throws and rips it effortlessly on throws underneath.
