Alabama football extended an offer to Alius Mayo on Wednesday.
Mayo attends Modesto Junior College in Modesto, California. He holds previous offers from Cal, Mississippi State, Louisville and others. The Crimson Tide currently does not hold a commitment from a defensive back in the 2027 recruiting class.
The new Alabama target played in 11 games last season for Modesto. He finished the season with 30 total tackles, multiple pass deflections and one interception.
At 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds, Mayo has the length the Tide continues to go after at cornerback. There are currently two cornerbacks on the Tide’s roster who are 6-foot-4.
