Is Alabama football’s current recruiting strategy risky?

Alabama football’s 2027 recruiting class has gotten a lot of heat recently due to where it is currently ranked.

While the current status of the Tide’s 2027 class should not come as a huge surprise because Kalen DeBoer has stated this class will be smaller than his previous two classes, Alabama’s current recruiting strategy of taking fewer players, banking on continuing to retain well and being selective when paying players produces a lot of questions. Is this strategy the right one, or is it risky?
