William Green reported an offer from Alabama football last week after camping in front of the Crimson Tide’s coaching staff last week.
Green is a rising sophomore at Byron Nelson High School in Texas, and he is a member of the 2029 recruiting class. He already reports more than 20 D1 offers, with offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee and others.
The young talent is looking forward to building his relationship with the Tide after earning an offer.
“This offer means a lot to me,” Green told Touchdown Alabama. “Being around the facility and the coaching staff, especially coach G (Robert Gillespie). I know that is an environment I can thrive in and be my best in. I would love to be back down in Tuscaloosa and grow my relationship with the coaching staff.”
Green feels Alabama is a program he has always had a lot of respect for, and he likes the direction Kalen DeBoer has the program heading in.
“I really like the program and what they’re having going on at Alabama with coach Deboer and the rest of the coaching staff,” Green said. “Alabama has always been a place I could see myself there in the next three years and be successful.”
The 5-foot-10, 200-pound running back is a strong prospect who reports the ability to squat 400 pounds and bench press 275 pounds. He pairs this strength with athleticism and great upside.
I would like to thank the entire @DistinctlyHIS_ staff for taking great care of us this week while we were out here camping on the West Coast. I truly appreciate the hospitality, coaching, and the opportunity to learn and grow. Here’s one of my 1-on-1 clips from the week. I had… pic.twitter.com/5tCEeY8iNJ
