Alabama football is expected to go up against a group of backs coming off their best seasons this fall.
Here is a breakdown of the top five of the stable of backs the Tide will try to stop during the 2026 season:
1. DeSean Bishop – Tennessee
Bishop has to be one of the best stories in college football, going from walk-on to a 1,000-yard rusher in the SEC. The 5-foot-10, 210-pounder rushed for more than 100 yards three times last season, including against Alabama. He rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 8.8 yards per carry against the Tide last season in a losing effort. The back has an opportunity to be a big-play back this fall with the great balance and toughness he runs with.
THERE HE GOES.
