Alabama football’s offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb made it clear the Tide does not want to rotate players on the offensive line this season.
The Crimson Tide rotated quite a bit on the offensive line throughout the 2025 season. Seven different offensive linemen were involved in the rotation of different groups throughout last year. That rotation of linemen included Parker Brailsford, Kadyn Proctor, Wilkin Formby, Michael Carroll, Kam Dewberry, Gen VanDeMark and Jaeden Roberts.
Grubb told reporters Thursday he does not want this to happen this fall.
“Best five,” Grubb said. “The best five. There are injuries, guys that have to move in and out, things like that, but we certainly want to get the gel right, right away.”
Grubb knows he wants to have a unit that is able to gel right away, but he also knows Alabama is not there yet in terms of knowing who its best five offensive linemen are.
“I think we’re a little ways off yet, if I’m being honest,” Grubb said, “I think we got some time here. We got a lot of banked reps, though. We’ve seen all these guys, with the exception of Will.”
