Former Alabama star injured during Packers training camp

Former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs will be sidelined with injury after suffering a groin injury during the Packers training camp sessions this week.

Head coach Matt LaFleur shared that Jacobs will miss “at least this week” leaving Green Bay’s running back room thin.

Jacobs has been the team’s leading rusher since signing with the franchise back in 2024. Through two seasons with the team Jacobs has rushed for 2,258 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Despite the injury, Jacobs could also be looking at a suspension from the league due to violating the NFL Personal Conduct Policy according to Adam Schefter. Jacobs still has an open investigation into a domestic violence incident.

This now leaves the Packers with Marshawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks and Pierre Strong Jr. to replace the Jacobs in his absence.
