Former Alabama running back Najee Harris is looking to respark his NFL career and took the first step on Monday as he took a visit with the New York Giants according to ESPN.

Harris signed a one-year deal last season with the Los Angeles Chargers, but just three weeks into the season he suffered a torn Achilles and would miss the remainder of the year. He had just 15 carries for 61 yards with the Chargers.

However throughout the first four years of Harris’ career with the Pittsburgh Steelers he surpassed 1,000 yards rushing each season and amassed 28 rushing touchdowns throughout his time in the AFC North.

Prior to his professional days, Harris posted a legendary career at Alabama.

After arriving as a five-star recruit, Harris took on a larger role in each of the following seasons which would crescendo in 2020 when he posted one of the best years an Alabama running back has ever had.

In 2020, Harris posted 1,466 yards yards, 26 rushing touchdowns, 43 receptions, 425 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns as he went on to win the Doak Walker Award for the nation’s top running back. He would also help Alabama cap off a dominant season going undefeated and winning the national championship.

Harris ended his career with the Crimson Tide as the program’s all-time leading rusher with 3,843 yards and the all-time leader in rushing touchdowns with 46.
