Alabama defensive lineman suffered an injury during Sunday’s practice

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke with reporters on Monday, and he said defensive lineman Jeremiah Beaman sustained an injury on Sunday.

DeBoer said the staff has “an idea” of what Beaman’s injury is, but he did not elaborate on the extent of the injury

“Jeremiah did get hurt yesterday,” DeBoer said. “We have an idea of what the injury is. I would wait to comment on it until we get a further understanding, and that would probably be tomorrow.”

Beaman missed most of last season due to a knee injury. The junior defensive lineman battled back from the injury in time to participate in Alabama football’s fall camp, but according to DeBoer, he was injured during Sunday’s practice.

Alabama will host East Carolina on Sept. 5, and it is unknown if Beaman will be available for the Crimson Tide’s season opener.
