Alabama Players Reflect on Nick Saban Ahead of 2024 NFL Draft

Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban is widely regarded as the greatest coach in the history of college football.

Saban spent 17 total seasons as the Crimson Tide’s head coach from 2007-2023. The legendary play caller compiled an overall record of 206-29 throughout his time in Tuscaloosa, as Saban is responsible for six National Championships and nine SEC titles during his tenure with the Tide.

Saban recently took a moment to speak about his success at Alabama over the years, and the legendary head coach claims he had less fun on the job as the Tide continued to win.

“We won so many games, the expectation got so high.” Saban said. “Do you really enjoy winning? Or are you just relieved you didn’t lose?”

Saban and the Tide were widely regarded as the team to beat throughout the majority of his 17-year coaching career at Alabama. Winning championships and dominating teams through four quarters was undoubtedly the standard set by Saban during his tenure, and Alabama remains today as one of the most prominent brands in all of sports entertainment as a direct result of his success.
