One terrible mistake has Henry Ruggs III in an awful situation.
The second-year wide receiver is no longer a member of the Las Vegas Raiders.

He was released Tuesday after being charged with DUI resulting in death and reckless driving.
Ruggs was behind the wheel of his Chevrolet Corvette when he hit a Toyota Rav4 at 3:40 a.m. The Toyota caught on fire, both cars were damaged, and one fatality happened. Ruggs was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, but TMZ Sports reported that police saw “signs of impairment” from him. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Ruggs could face a jail sentence of two to 20 years if convicted.

He attended the University of Alabama from 2017 to 2019. Ruggs caught 98 passes in three years, including 24 touchdowns. He won an SEC Championship in 2018 and a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2017.

Ruggs was selected at No. 12 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
