Alabama’s Bryce Young and Henry To’oTo’o each earned weekly honors from the Southeastern Conference, the league office announced on Monday. Young was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week while To’oTo’o was the Defensive Player of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week
Bryce Young
- Put together a record-setting day with 559 yards and a career-high tying five touchdown passes
- Finished 31-of-40 passing, including 13 explosive completions of 20-plus yards
- His 559 yards passing set a new Alabama single-game record and are the second-most in a single game in SEC history
Defensive Player of the Week
Henry To’oTo’o
- Paced the Tide defense with a career-high 13 tackles
- Posted three tackles for loss (-17 yards) to go with a pair of sacks (-16 yards)
- His tackles for loss and sacks were each season-highs for the junior transfer
