Travaris Banks became emotional when he picked up an offer from Alabama football in January during an unofficial visit to the University of Alabama.

Banks grew up in Tuscaloosa, and he currently attends Northridge High School. He earned an invite to visit Alabama in January after Nick Saban visited Northridge. The 2024 prospect said he was almost moved to tears when he found out he earned an offer from the Crimson Tide.
“I was about to tear up because where I am from that is a huge achievement,” Banks said. “That is every kid’s dream from little league to get a chance to play for their hometown college. I was excited. It has been a goal for me since I was a kid.”
The Alabama target was in action at the Under Armour Next Camp in Atlanta Sunday, and he flashed with his impressive frame. The 6-foot-2, 188-pounder was able to display his ball skills and show his ability to close on the football in coverage during the event.
“I feel like it is a great accomplishment and a great opportunity to improve, just going up against best,” Banks told Touchdown Alabama at the conclusion of the camp.

The Northridge Jaguars used Banks on both sides of the football during his sophomore season. He primarily played cornerback on defense and spent time at both wide receiver and running back on offense. He made plays at each position, but he is projected to be a defensive back at the next level.
