Desmond Ricks announced he was reclassifying to the 2023 recruiting class Saturday.
Ricks attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He garners a five-star rating from most recruiting sites. The IMG product currently has Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Miami, Ohio State and others in his top ten.
The former 2024 recruit said he will be considering all of his opportunities in his reclassify announcement.

Alabama hosted Ricks last month for an unofficial visit. The five-star recruit previously said he knows he will be developed at Alabama.
“They are known for just producing,” Ricks told Touchdown Alabama. “That is what Alabama does. If I go there, I know that is somewhere I will definitely be developed. I feel like they are deep into defensive backs. Coach Saban is actually out there coaching defensive backs himself. That means a lot.”
Ricks is listed at 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds. He is coverage technique and skillset are very advanced.
